What are Building Regulations?

The Building Regulations & working drawing are a clear specification & set of instructions as to how the property is to be constructed and proves that the development will comply with UK Building Regulations once the submitted drawings have been checked & approved by your local authority or private building inspector a Full Plans approval certificate will be provided.

When the development / building work starts on site the building inspector will undertake regular checks to ensure that the chosen contractor is building in accordance with the building regulations. At the end of the job a completion certificate will be received to confirm the property meets the minimum standards set out in the building regulations. Without the completion certificate it may prove impossible to sell the property or refinance your home.
