What are Building Regulations?
Building regulations & Working drawings are a set of construction standards that are applied to any new development, extension or conversion regardless of whether this is a residential or commercial development.
The Building Regulations & working drawing are a clear specification & set of instructions as to how the property is to be constructed and proves that the development will comply with UK Building Regulations once the submitted drawings have been checked & approved by your local authority or private building inspector a Full Plans approval certificate will be provided.
When the development / building work starts on site the building inspector will undertake regular checks to ensure that the chosen contractor is building in accordance with the building regulations. At the end of the job a completion certificate will be received to confirm the property meets the minimum standards set out in the building regulations. Without the completion certificate it may prove impossible to sell the property or refinance your home.
LM Associates are part of the LABC Partner Scheme with Mid Sussex District Council
LM Associates also have an LABC partner agreement with Mid Sussex District Council, this allows use to submit building regulations to MSDC Building Control wherever your site is across the country. This simplifies the process as LMA always deal with the same inspecting authority and we personally know and work with the Building Inspectors at MSDC.
